DHL will create a UK centre of excellence for specialist vehicle repairs, optimising vehicle conditioning times and repair methods for used cars.
Inside Track, DHL Supply Chain’s specialist automotive sales and marketing services business, has been awarded a new three-year contract to manage BMW Group’s UK vehicle preparation and refurbishment services at Thorne, near Doncaster.
Under the contract, DHL will provide fleet management and technical services in support of the BMW Group company car fleet and Customer Experience evaluation fleet in the UK.
This new service includes fleet administration, valeting, preparation and refurbishment of vehicles using the latest techniques to optimise repair times. DHL will also provide specialist repair services including vehicles with carbon fibre bodies.
DHL will work closely with BMW Group to adopt the latest repair techniques and skills, balancing workload throughout its operation to ensure the customer’s needs are met while protecting the quality of the vehicles at all times.
