BCA Immingham has processed over 200,000 Kia vehicles since it partnered with the manufacturer in September 2015 in a ten-year deal.
The team in Immingham support both new car storage and preparation, and de-fleet storage and preparation.
The site is key to Kia Motors UK plans to sell 100,000 cars a year in the UK by 2020, a sales target that will put it head-to-head with big-hitting rivals.
The operation received significant investment to redevelop and extend facilities.
Commenting on the contract Paul Bromley, managing director of BCA Vehicle Services said: “We placed innovation at the heart of our partnership with Kia. And by investing in new technology, such as RFID inventory management, we have delivered, efficient and smart solution for Kia.
“We continue to seek new and flexible ways to work with leading manufacturers that need a robust supply chain partner that can provide an integrated solution for new and used vehicles.”
BCA Vehicle Services works with manufacturers to provide the full suite of new vehicle services, including customs formalities and storage, along with volume processing, standard fitment of UK market required items and specialised vehicle conversions.
The site has also deployed a full range of video services from AutosOnShow including a DSLR turntable solution that captures HD images and videos. It will allow users to take internal and close up detailed shots of the vehicle using a guided image selection tool, which creates a consistent look across all cars and supports brand values.
The addition of digital services enables the time between de-fleet and dealer forecourt to be drastically reduced.
Awais Ajmal, head of supply chain for Kia said: “BCA has a commitment to innovation and efficiency that sits at the heart of this contract. As we grow to meet our ambitious plans for Kia in the next few years, it is important that we have a flexible and efficient supply chain partner.”
