In a tweet replying to a Tesla customer waiting for delivery of their vehicle, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the automaker has been facing issues in delivering their vehicles to the customers.
“Sorry, we’ve gone from production hell to delivery logistics hell, but this problem is far more tractable,” said Musk in the tweet addressing an aggrieved customer. He also promised that the company was making rapid progress on the logistics front and that the delivery bottleneck would be ironed out shortly.
Tesla has been facing production issues for a while. The company recently cut down on the colour options it offers to streamline production. In June this year, Tesla met its production goal of 5,000 units per week for the Model 3.
With an onslaught of launch of all electric vehicles from its German rivals, it will prove to be a crucial period for Tesla as it will look to retain its market share amidst heavy competition.
