A Rolfo delegation recently travelled from Italy to Germany to hand over the first trailer from the newly developed FLX series to representatives of ARS Altmann AG.
During an extensive trial loading of vehicles from and onto the trailer, the new features of the FLX were presented and in particular, the patented Smart Lift lifting device was brought into focus.
ARS Altmann AG has been using trailers specially designed for car transport from the Italian company Rolfo for many years. This is due in particular to the lively exchange between the two companies. Experiences from everyday business life as well as ideas and suggestions regarding the optimisation and further development of trailers are often discussed together and then flow into product development.
In this way, both companies benefit.
The new FLX product range especially for Long/Long combinations has also been developed on the basis of practical experience and takes up the wish of many drivers to simplify the operation of the trailer and at the same time increase loading performance. The name FLX stands for lightness and innovation and the successor to the bestselling model ‘PEGASUS’ also comes up with new patents. Especially the new Smart Lift lifting device, which allows with a single command both rotation and extension of the telescopic arm, promises intuitive handling and also minimises the risk of damage for the operator.
Alberto Picco, Sales Director at Rolfo, came personally to Wolnzach to deliver the first trailer to his business partner ARS Altmann AG together with his colleagues and to demonstrate the innovations, and said: “Since many ideas and suggestions from ARS Altmann AG were also taken into account and implemented during the development of the new series, we would like to thank them in the form of the handover of the very first FLX.”
Dr. Maximilian Altmann, chairman of the board of ARS Altmann AG, also expressed his thanks for the personal handover of the FLX and added: “We are looking forward to using the new trailer in transport traffic and will pass on our experience and suggestions to Rolfo as in the past. The fact that we are the first customer to introduce the FLX to our fleet is not only a great honour for us, but also emphasises once again the productive and close cooperation of recent years.
“With the use of the new series, we also make daily work easier for our hard-working drivers due to fewer to no thresholds, the intuitive operation of the trailer and its flat design. Of course, our customers also benefit from faster loading and unloading times, as we can be more efficient and more productive for both sides at the collection or unloading points with less downtime. The absence of overrun troughs or thicker ramp angles also helps to avoid damage and thus ultimately improves the quality of our service,” he concluded.
