Lesjöfors Springs has acquired and relocated to a brand new purpose-built UK distribution centre in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Thanks to continued growth in the automotive aftermarket, the UK’s leading spring supplier has moved into a 65,000 sq ft facility, offering almost 50% more storage capacity than its previous premises, with improved transport links to the motorway network and easy access for heavy goods vehicles.
Robert Glynn, Managing Director of Lesjöfors Springs UK, said: “The acquisition of a new, purpose-built facility for Lesjöfors UK is great news for the company, our customers and the UK automotive aftermarket. It underlines our ongoing commitment to developing the business in the coming years, and goes hand in glove with our growing UK manufacturing presence.
“The increased space, improved materials handling and warehouse management solutions, position us well to maintain our 99% service rate and to meet whatever demands the market throws at us, whilst allowing us to remain competitive through efficiencies.”
The new unit has been designed and built to Lesjöfors’ exact specification, with potential to extend the warehouse by a further 15,000 sq ft should the need arise.
The new site is exceptionally well-located, right on the motorway network, beside the M62, with a dedicated entrance, providing privacy and security.
Lesjöfors Automotive produces an extensive range of springs for the European car and light commercial vehicle market, manufacturing the world’s largest range of coil springs for the automotive aftermarket.
