In response to increased trade and bi-and multilateral agreements between emerging markets in Asia, WWL is consolidating its activities in the region under one South Asia Area Office in Thailand.
The new office combines the current area offices of Southeast Asia and India. By gathering its resources and expertise under one roof, WWL hopes to create better synergies and a holistic leadership leading to an improved service for its many customers.
Heading the new South Asia office will be Gur Prasad Kohli, currently Head of WWL India. Kohli was a Captain until he joined the company in 1987. Under his leadership, WWL India has grown to 300 employees, offering a broad portfolio of products across the country. Kohli is replacing Trond Tonjum, currently Head of WWL Southeast Asia, who will take up a new position at WWL’s headquarters in Oslo, Norway.
WWL has also appointed a new Managing Director for WWL India. Captain Pankaj Dogra will replace Kohli as of July 1. Dogra joined WWL India in 2011 as General Manager for Business Development. He is a Master Mariner with 14 years of seagoing experience and brings extensive experience from previous operational and commercial roles within WWL since stepping ashore in 2004.
