MetroGistics, a leading provider of automotive logistics services, has promoted Craig Clayton to Vice President of Information Technology. In his new role, he will be responsible for the overall leadership of the company’s evolving and growing Information Technology Department, including architecture and infrastructure services, enterprise applications services, networking, and telecommunication services. He will also help develop strategic IT recommendations and consult on tech-focused mergers and acquisitions.
Clayton joined the firm in 2013 as Director of Information Technology. He has more than 12 years of IT management experience, including senior leadership positions at both Sumner County School System and AmeriFlex, where he served as chief information officer.
“Even though we’re in the transportation and logistics industry, innovation is at the heart of our operations,” said William Billiter, co-founder and managing partner. “Craig has done a great job keeping us at the leading edge of technology, and we are pleased to promote him to Vice President.”
Clayton is a native of Western Kentucky, and graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications systems management.
