Two new directors have been appointed to the Board of rail freight company DB Cargo UK as it continues its drive to further improve its operational and customer services.
Dr Dirk Nolte (pictured) has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the fields of business process re-engineering and business process improvement.
Notle has 24 years of experience in various industries where he has managed large-scale international projects from scoping through to implementation.
Roger Neary has been appointed to the position of Head of Sales. Roger has enjoyed a 25-year career in rail freight with DB Cargo UK and its predecessor companies DB Schenker, EWS and British Rail.
Last year was a period of significant change for Doncaster-based DB Cargo UK as it introduced a new operating model and underwent a major organisational restructuring.
Chief Executive Hans-Georg Werner said: “We have emerged from last year’s restructure a more efficient and resilient company and Dirk and Roger will have a pivotal role to play in maximising the benefits of the changes we have introduced.
“I took on the additional roles of Head of Production and Head of Sales during the restructure, which was a very difficult time for the business. However, we have now stabilised our operations and customer confidence is returning, so now is the ideal time to hand over the reins.”
“First and foremost Dirk, Roger, myself and the rest of the UK Board will be focussing on driving even higher standards of reliability and service to our customers,” added Mr Werner.
